China Glaze Texture Collection.

Hi Guys!!!

After being sick and feeling like it took forever to recover and losing my hard drive right after, I couldn't be happier that I'm back. I missead painting my nails and talking about it to you guys a lot, but now I'm back for good.

Yesterday I went to Ulta and found the China Glaze Texture collection display, unfortunately they only had a few of the colors.
The Texture collection is China Glaze's interpretation of OPI's liquid sands or Zoya's Pixie Dusts.
Even though I found OPI and Zoya to be very similar to each other, China Glaze had a completely different texture. I wasn't disappointed though. I like the new texture and I'm glad its something different

I picked up three from this collection and figured I'd wait until they re stocked to review the other three.

The first color I picked goes by the name of In the Rough and it is a yellow-ish based green.
I really like the color of this polish but my skin doesn't so much. Greens specially light ones don't get along too great with my skin tone. It's okay though because the other too colors I picked up were good.

The second one is called Unrefined and it is a light barbie pink. This color is so overly common but the fact that is a textured nail polish makes this okay for me. The shade of pink is really great for spring and will be great for summer as well.

The third shade I picked was Of Coarse! and it is a bright blue. This one is also kind of a very common shade but the this color makes the texture pop a lot. It's also great for summer!

All these polishes obviously have the same formula and the application was all the same. I applied one coat on every single swatch. I found that the texture was a little different when I applied more than one coat. These colors are all very opaque so one coat worked well for me.

I wish the hot pink and coral from this collection weren't sold out and the only place I can find these at the moment is ulta (which is pretty far from my house) I guess I'll be ordering the rest of this collection online since the original texture of them really caught my eye.

Totally recommend you all to pick up at least one of these. The texture is fun, the colors are bright, and I'm just loving this collection. Thumbs up China Glaze!!

Hope you guys liked this post and I'm truly happy to be able to be back on the blog. Love you all!!

Day 15-Watermarble.

Hi Guys!

Today's challenge was what I was waiting for!!!! Watermabling!!!
I don't really practice water marbling but of course I'll do it for the challenge.

Okay before hand I'd like to state the obvious by saying I'm obviously not great at this but I'm open to constructive criticism, if you have a certain technique or advice on how to minimize the quantity of the air bubbles,  I'd love to see it on the comment box below!

♥♥♥Okay here is my water marble nails♥♥♥

I really liked my pointing and middle finger, my ring finger is awful, i know, i know.
I want to get a few polishes just to water marble, so if you have any suggestions I would love to see them.

The colors I used were:

♥ China Glaze-Designer Satin.
♥ OPI-Honk if you love OPI.
♥ China Glaze-For Audrey.

I really like how this mani looks and how easy it is, even though I could really use some practice, I want my lines to be a little more straight  :)

The colors I used for this were:
♥ China Glaze-For Audrey.
♥ China Glaze-Turned up Turquoise.
♥ China Glaze-First Mate.

Hope you guys liked this and next on I'll have a review of a beautiful Hare polish!
Thanks for reading ♥♥.

Day 9-PolkaDots.

Hi guys!!

Tonight's challenge was polka dots, and I probably should've analyzed the days before, because I did polka dots for pink.. but oh well.

For polka dots I went for the classical black and white :)

For the white I used China Glaze's White on White, which is so far my favorite white polish to go to.
I use it for basically every single time I do nail art.
The black I'm using is Sally Hansen's Black out.

The polish I'm holding is an untried from the Cirque Du Soleil Collection, it's called whirled Away, and I only purchased it because they had a buy 2 China Glaze polishes for $11, and aside from It's a Trap-eeze!, I didn't know which one to get.

All the items used to create this were 2 polishes and a dotting tool.

Thanks for Reading lovelies ♥

NOTD: Easter Nails!♥

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a great Easter so far.
I've been dying to post this all day but once again i've been kind of busy, I was busy with Easter celebration, and also doing some yard work :p. Someone had to get rid of the 200 thousand pounds of leaves that completely cover the back yard making it look ugly. My puppy seemed to be amazed by the piles of leaves though. I thought I'd add a picture so I could introduce you guys to Rhea, my 14 mo pitbull.

I promise she was posing for this picture, haha she loves the camera as much as mommy loves taking pictures of her. haha she thought I was cleaning the yard just so she could have fun running and hoping around the leaves.

Okay enough rambling about my baby and getting on to the nails!!! I saw multiple cute nail art designs and I just couldn't wait to bring my idea to life.

Shade.

I was shopping for some Easter stuff and bought these cute purple marshmallow bunnies & chicks, they inspired me to do this look!! It was quite easy even though i'm sure these aren't that great.
Bear with me I am a beginner and this is my first year doing Easter nails!

Flash On.

All I used for this look was A nail art brush, A double ended dotting tool & a few polishes.
On my pointing finger I used Cinderella by Sinful Colors & added some white clouds with White on White by China Glaze.

For my middle finger I used Cotton Candy by Sinful Colors as well. For the eggs I used Polish Addict's Jellyfish 1 & Hard Candy's Gummy Green. The Scattered glitter on the background is Polish Addict's Dr. Franken.

On my ring finger I used Essie's First Date as a base & White on white by China Glaze. For the bunnies ears & nose I used Essie's Muchi Muchi.

Last but not least my pinky finger. I used Mellow Yellow by Sally Hansen & White on white for the rest. Orange acrylic paint was used to create the beak.

I really liked this look and thought it was pretty easy for noobz like me! hehe.

Hope you guys liked it & would love to see some feedback!

Keep coming back for more designs and IMPORTANT:

China Glaze's Avant Garden Collection Swatches.

Hey everyone!

I hope you guys are doing fine today.
I have two colors from the Avant Garden collection by China Glaze.

The first one will be Fancy Pants.

Fancy Pants is a medium toned blurple (blue-purple) with a very bright purple shimmer to it.

Fancy Pants is one of the 12 shades from the Avant Garden collection. I bought mine at Sally's Beauty Supply. The application of this color was quite awesome. Two coats gave me full coverage and the shimmer shows great, just not on camera.

The shimmer was really hard to photograph but you can kind of see it here under the China word. lol
This is the best picture I could get out of like 100 I took.

The second color I have today is Passion for Petals

Passion for Petals is a bright raspberry pink cream polish. I didn't think I would like this color but just in the rush of leaving the store with something I picked it up randomly.

I don't regret buying this polish at all, the formula was good, in the picture I used two coats, I feel like I should've put a third coat.

I might pick up some other colors from this collection later on, but honestly none of them really catch my eye.

If you are a blogger and would like to me check out your page just leave the link on the comment box.
I would love to expand my circle on the blogger nail community!

Don't forget to follow for more reviews & swatches. If there is any color in specific you would like to see leave a comment as well!

Have a nice night. ♥

Ruffian Manicure!

Happy Friday!!

TGIF right? Today i'm bringing a super cool mani for you guys! it goes by the name of ruffian manicure and
to me it's just basically a reverse french manicure.
I found some blogs and youtube tutorials about these nails a couple months back, and last night I finally decided to do them on my nails and show it to you guys!

I've found a couple of good color combos for this kind of mani and I will be listing & adding nail wheel swatches at the end.
Today though I will be using Essie's No place like Chrome & China Glaze's First Mate.

All you're going to do is first, apply a coat of No place like chrome and wait for it to be completely dry.
If you don't feel comfortable about freehanding this mani you can always find some French Manicure stickers at your local beauty supply store! I got mine from sally's and you can just place those at the bottom of your nail as a guide.

(Flash)

I really love the way this looks! I think it looks really classy & professional,it's super easy to do you don't need any tools aside from your polish brush and some top coat.

Here are some color combinations I would recommend!

From Left to Right I'm using
Zoya-Ziv & Essie- Mesmerized.
Essie-No place like Chrome & China Glaze-Designer Satin.
OPI-Goldeneye & Sally Hansen-Black Out.

After these were dry I decided to apply some matte top coat. I'm using Essie's Matte About You.

That was it for today! I hope you guys have a great Friday be safe and don't make too mani decisions.
I'll be at home making more fun posts & tutorials for you guys!

Love, Polish Junkie♥

First Attempt at Braided Nails♥

Hello Ladies.

Today i'm going to be showing you guys my first attempt at braided nails.
I decided I wanted to go for a Spring Look so Here are the colors I picked.

I chose two colors from the China Glaze's Avant Garden Collection Fancy Pants and Passion for petals.
Also I decided my third color would be For Audrey by China Glaze as well, I just love this color and will be wearing it lots during spring :)

As you can see all these are is lines or different polish colors intertwined with each other.
It looks just like a fishtail braid and its honestly super simple to do. Mine is obviously not as good as other nail art ladies out there, but like the title says this is my 1st attempt at it im pretty proud of them even though I could've probably done better.

Here's a macro shot of it so you guys can kinda see the detail better.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and decide to jump on the Braided Nails bandwagon.

I will probably be writing and editing my late St, Patricks nails, but if it gets too late I might just post a water marble or some Untried Swatches.

Love, Polish Junkie. ♥

Glitter Gradient!

Good morning everyone!

Today i'll be sharing a cute and super easy mani :)

For this gradient mani I used the following colors:

  • Essie's Sugar Daddy. Which by the way I consider the best french manicure color, its so perfect.
  • China Glaze's Full Spectrum: I used this color for the finer glitter.
  • Polish Addict's Dr. Franken: Used this for the bigger, chunkier glitters.

This post isn't mean to be a illustrated step by step tutorial because that's just how easy this is!
All you're going to do is apply a base color of your choice, after it dries apply your smaller glitter about half way down on your nail.
When that is completely dry you can go ahead and put the chunky glitter at the very tips of your nails.

The closer to the end the more glitter you need.
I love this type of mani because it's really simple to do and there's also tons of combinations you can do!

I hope you guys give it a shot and come up with great combos!

If you guys are wondering were I purchased these polishes, I got Sugar Daddy at CVS and I got Full Spectrum at Sally's beauty supply and you can get Polish Addicts Polishes at http://www.shoppolishaddict.bigcartel.com/
